Chores & Reviews – Episode 1: Despicable Me 3

Hello, welcome to the first, and possibly last, episode of a new Family Life on Earth series that we like to call Chores & Reviews. It’s exactly what it sounds like. In each episode the boys will share their review of something as they are doing their daily chore(s). If you think this is just a clever way to get the kids to do their chores without complaining about it, you’re not wrong. As an added bonus we also got them to edit the video.

But it’s more than that. Everything we do together as a family is about, you guessed it, family (even when it isn’t), which is why we want to give the kids a say in the planning of activities and the reviewing of them. We think that may be even more helpful than yet another review by yet another parent telling you their yet another adult opinion about the stuffs of the world (not that there is anything wrong with that).

We’ll see.

Warning, there are some (fairly obvious) spoilers in the video.

Despicable Me 3 is rated PG and opens everywhere on Friday, June 30. It stars everyone that you know is in it—you’ve seen the trailer (if not, it’s embedded below for your convenience).
