Star Wars: The Force Awakens Your Blu-ray Player

You get it. We like Star Wars. I’ve written about our adventures in the Star Wars galaxy, be it our sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line‘s Star Wars Day at Sea, our visit to the Star Wars Launch Bay at Disneyland (and Walt Disney World), not to mention my ongoing coverage of The Force Awakens for GeekDad, Fandango, The Disney Blog, and many, many others. Star Wars is kind of our thing.

This is where you say, “I know.”

Needless to say, when I found a Blu-ray copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in my mailbox a couple of weeks ago it changed everything, namely the part of it where we get off the couch for extended periods of time. Fun fact, even the slowest Honea can make it to the fridge and back in less than 12 parsecs.

Here’s what you need to know:

The bonus features are strong in this release. Among them you will find the full-length documentary “Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey” that takes viewers through the making of the film, complete with all the everything. Seriously, this would be worth buying if it was its own release.

Also:

  • The Story Awakens: The Table Read — Cast members, familiar and new, reflect on the memorable day they all first came together to read the movie’s script
  • Building BB-8 — See how J.J. Abrams and team brought the newest droid to the screen, creating an instant fan favorite in the Star Wars universe
