Feel the Super Power of Disney Infinity 2.0

I have been writing about Disney Infinity since the day I first played it on the stage of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Disney had believed their new game big enough to warrant a press event in a historic venue with an open bar and endless buffets, and they were right. The game is amazing, and the latest edition, Disney Infinity 2.0, has only made it more so.

With the addition of Marvel superheroes (and villains) the game has taken everything to the next level. It is many games in one, and one game, the Toy Box, that goes on forever, or at least to the ends of our imagination, and I haven’t seen anything close to that yet. Hence, “Infinity.”

Needless to say, the boys love it. And I don’t mean they enjoy it in a video game sort of way, it goes well beyond that. They play with the characters while messing with LEGO sets, and they pretend to be creating things in the Toy Box when, in reality, they are creating things in the backyard, which is, more or less, our closest equivalent.

The only items on their holiday list thus far are the Disney Infinity characters that they don’t yet have—I don’t know if any of us can wait that long.

Disney Infinity 2.0 has the boys playing hard and thinking harder, and that’s pretty magical in my book.

We received a Disney Infinity 2.0 starter pack for review purposes. The opinions expressed are our own.
